What Others Say About ICG Seminars

Five of us from the North Lakeland Discovery Center, two staff and three Board members, attended your Charitable Giving Seminar last February. It was an outstanding experience for us, since we are a relatively small and young, twenty years old, non-profit Environmental Education Center in northern Wisconsin.  We are considering our first ever capital campaign, and the shared knowledge of all the presenters was eye-opening, and along with the opportunities for one-on-one interaction with your staff, was practical knowledge at it's best. However, I must also say that rubbing shoulders with people from other non-profit organizations of all sizes, from around the country, and sharing experiences, some successful and some not so successful, was one of the most beneficial experiences. Bottom line is, we all would highly recommend other non-profit to attend in the future. Thanks for the experience!”

“I attended Designing a Successful Capital Campaign in February 2016, and came back to work inspired.
• People need to realize your good work, and then you need to ask people to give (to a project or to support the good work).
• People want to give to excellence.
• People appreciate fiscal responsibility and integrity.
There were many take-aways. These stayed with me.”
— Mary Geegan Middleton, CEO, Cassopolis Family Clinic Network

"Jerold Panas knows how to do a conference well. I dare say, he is the best in the business. The number of conference attendees is small so every session feels personal and valuable. Throughout the day, you meet with staff one-on-one and I benefitted greatly from this experience. The experience feels like you are getting a mini consultation wrapped into an already excellent conference. Doug Dillon went out of his way to make every attendee feel valued and a part of the process. This conference is for people that are planning, currently, or completing a campaign. As a fundraiser, we know our work is never finished and this conference proves there is much more work to be done in the fundraising field."

"I attended the Institute for Charitable Giving’s Seminar ‘Designing a Successful Capital Campaign' for the first time in 2012. The information that it provided and the presenters, who were all accessible, informative, clear, open, and warm, made for a very worthwhile and productive few days. One of my valuable take home messages was that the organization that I represented was not yet ready for a campaign at that time.

I was very excited in 2015 to be able attend the Seminar again, this time bringing our new CEO and the Development Chair from our Board of Trustees. I cannot say more about what a great experience it was to have a team attend this seminar. My CEO came away feeling that it was a very worthwhile investment of her time, and we appreciated the discount given for registration of a CEO.

I urge anyone thinking about a campaign to attend this Seminar. (And Chicago in February wasn’t bad!)"

“Jerry Panas is a remarkable fundraiser and shares his knowledge and experiences through the Institute for Charitable Giving Seminars. I was fortunate to attend Seize the Opportunity, Major Giving Roundtable and Designing a Successful Capital Campaign. It is said when professionals attend seminars and conferences they find them successful if they learn one good idea. While attending Jerry’s seminars, the knowledge and ideas I took are immeasurable!
I met Jerry many years ago at the National Catholic Development Conference.  Jerry was presenting on major gifts. I was working on a major gift campaign at the time. After hearing him speak and implementing his methods, I began to reach new levels in my skills. I was hooked on major gifts!  From that point I knew I wanted to learn more and grow as a major gift professional.
The Institute for Charitable Giving Seminars are well run. The speakers are true professionals with vast experiences and are eager to share them. In addition to the wealth of information I took away, I was recharged and energized!  I look forward to taking my fourth seminar!”

"For years I’ve attended and sent staff to programs of the Institute for Charitable Giving. The reasons are twofold. First, the Institute offers the best fundraising training I’ve found anywhere. Second, the value offered is exceptional, second to none. Jerry and his team deliver outstanding training time after time.  I look forward to the 2017 seminars."
